Denix Webley Indiana Jones replica revolver

Indiana Jones fan? Indy used a similar gun in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Here is a breakdown of the Denix Webley MK IV Style non-firing revolver- the classic British revolver spanning from the late 1800s to the 1960s.

First off, this replica only operates as double-action. Also, it does have a functioning top-break action, but please be advised, that releasing this lock did take quite a bit of effort. And on this gun, the lock never really locked back into place very well after that. My advice is to keep the gun in stock condition, and do not open the top-break.. It is tempting, I know, because top-breaks are so cool. But Denix did not design this very well. Watch the video and you will see what I mean.

UPDATE to the Webley:

The Webley and the Adventure Look

The Webley is the British service revolver, and it became famous all over again because of a film. The break top action, the squared off grip and the heavy lanyard ring are the details that make it recognisable, and the replica copies all three.

The break top mechanism is the fragile part. Opening the action puts all the load on the hinge and the locking latch, and on a cast replica that joint should be opened slowly and never snapped shut. It is a beautiful mechanism to show someone who has never seen a top break revolver, which is exactly why it is worth protecting.
